Family Home Evening (FHE) is usually held once a week
It is a time to be together as a family to learn and have fun.
A FHE leader can be assigned by the parents to decide on a lesson or activity, ask others to read scriptures, play music, make refreshments or take part in other ways. It is a good idea to have everyone help if possible.
Some Family Home Evenings can just be an activity together but in most cases parents will find the best use of this time is to have a structured FHE where everyone can take part and learn together in a reverent teaching setting.
The structure for your FHE could include:
Open with a prayer
Opening song
Read a scripture
Have a lesson
Have an activity
Closing song
Closing prayer
Refreshments
